Students in this class will have had some years of English learning experience and are looking for a boost to improve their pronunciation, verbal fluency, reading comprehension and writing capacity. Activities are designed to reinforce and extend the English language skills already acquired, with a focus on being comfortable using learned vocabulary and grammar skills to present themselves with confidence within an academic setting.

Confidence and development of speaking is extended through discussions, presentations, performances and debates.

Students are encouraged to read widely, critique a variety of texts and engage in discussions.

Through drawing on examples, students will compose written pieces that incorporate increasingly complex structures and language features.

Preparation for Cambridge exams B1, B2, C1. Students are familiarised with common test content, level and format.
