Speak, read and write with confidence! Learners of this age are highly engaged in the social aspect of learning and have an increased motivation to succeed. With established literacy skills in their first language, building a confident repertoire in English is key in this class. To nurture this, motivation is captivated through a range of exciting themes that lead children through imaginative and fascinating worlds of discovery, with integration of topical English skills and vocabulary.

Students experience new vocabulary and English language structures through immersion in thematic units and hearing and participating in stories.

Students become more familiar and confident in speaking and using language in a variety of situations, such as drama activities, role plays and oral presentations. ​

Children extend their descriptive writing skills through broadening the range of structures and inclusion of grammatical features. They plan, draft, edit and evaluate a variety of written text types.

Progression towards A1, A2 exams. Students are familiarised with common test content, level and format.
